William R. Evans

William R. Evans, 88 of Ixonia, passed away at his care facility, London Lodge, with family and caregivers by his side, on October 3, 2023, at London Lodge in Cambridge.

William was born on November 16, 1934, the son of David and Ruth (Morris) Evans.  He attended grade school in lxonia, Wisconsin. Willam was a hard worker who worked on the family farm for his whole life. He also was the lead nail puller for his nephew Jeff's pallet business for many years. William loved to be outdoors, and gardening was his passion. Nobody could grow potatoes like William! He was always happy to visit and see everyone, especially children. There wasn't a child who could resist William's silly faces and happy nature. He also was the #1 fan of Molly B and thanks to his London Lodge caregivers he got to see her in person many times!

William is survived by Siblings Margaret (Neill) Woelffer of Woodruff, WI and David (Cecilia) Evans of Waukesha, WI. Nephews Jeff (Judy) Willing of Lake Mills, WI; Steven (Donna) Willing of Oconomowoc, Wl; Keith Woelffer of Fort Mill, SC; Kyle Woelffer of Rockford, IL; and Shane (Julie) Evans of Waukesha, WI. Nieces Shari (Chip) Nimsgern of Minocqua, WI; Janet (Dan) Wiedenfeld of Appleton, WI and Stacy (Dan) Winkelman of lxonia, WI. William is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews

William is preceded in death by his parents, and sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Elden Willing

The family of William cannot express enough how thankful we are for the exceptional care and love William received at London Lodge. "His girls" meant the world to him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date
