Vivadell Plantz

PLANTZ, VIVADELL I. MARSHALL/DEERFIELD Vivadell I. Plantz, age 94, came to rest on Thursday June 17, 2010. She was born on February 13, 1916 in the Town Of Aztalan, the daughter of Alfred and Ida (Retzlaff) Whiting. After graduating from the Lake Mills High School, she attended Jefferson Teachers College and she taught at a country school. She later served for many years as secretary to the Supt. Of Schools in Lake Mills. William Plantz and Vividell were married on August 22, 1942 and they farmed together in the Towns of Medina and Deerfield, until their retirement. They also operated a general store on their farm for 7 years. Survivors include her husband William, of 68 years, a daughter Judy (Dale) Boetzel of Deerfield, grandchildren Todd (Tammy) Boetzel of Deerfield and Randy (Livi) Boetzel of Hungary, a special nephew Dan Hale of Mississippi and neighbor Ron Dorhorst and family of Deerfield, plus many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be on Saturday June 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM atHart-Vick Funeral Home of Marshall. Burial will be in Medina Cemetery.
