Terry Troutman

Terry G. Troutman age 63, formerly of Eau Claire passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Saturday November 20, 2010 at his home in Marshall, WI with his wife at his side. Terry was born on August 15, 1947 in Eau Claire, WI, the son of George and Helen (Heller) Troutman. He was a 1965 graduate of Eau Claire Memorial High School and later served in US Navy from 1965 until 1986. On June 8, 2002 he married Janice (Rowe) in Eau Claire. He served as a crew chief and instructor flight engineer, serving a tour in Vietnam in 1972. He retired from active duty as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in operational management. He was a life member of the DAV and VFW and a member of the American Legion Post 0157 Horicon, WI. He retired after being Department Adjutant of the American Legion 2006-2009. He served as the State Commander of the WisconsinAmerican Legionin 2002-2003 he was also the Alternate National Executive Committeeman in 2005-2006. Survivors include his wife Janice (Rowe) of Marshall formerly of Chippewa Falls, his father George Troutman of Eau Claire, brother Bruce Troutman of Chippewa Falls, his 3 sons Todd Troutman of Buffalo, NY and Patrick (Melissa)Troutman of Stafford, VA, Robert Troutman of Eau Claire, stepchildren Chad Ingles, Barb Link, and Kristi (Corey) Hawkinson all of Eau Claire, grandchildren Damien, Tanner, Tagan, Kaylee, Ashley, and step grandchildren Justin, Dakota, Trevor, Kalea, Aidyn, Neveah , Elliana and Ava, 2 great grandchildren Olivia and Emma and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at American Legion Post #53, 634 Water Street Eau Claire. Visitation for Family and Friends will be Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the American Legion Hall. A lunch will follow the memorial service.
