KOEHLER, SYLVIA B. WATERTOWN Sylvia B. Koehler, age 93, passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2014 at Marquardt Health Care. The former Sylvia Barbara Nowak was born on August 30, 1920, the daughter of Dr. Leon and Clara (Sommer) Nowak. She had attended St. Hyacinth Catholic School in Milwaukee, graduated from public high school in 1938 and graduated from Miss Browns Business School. Sylvia was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. On February 11, 1950 she married Paul A. Koehler in Milwaukee, he preceded her in death on March 6, 2003. Sylvia had been employed by the Jefferson County Nursing Office as an accountant. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and was a volunteer and former board member for St. Vincent de Paul. Sylvia was a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and she enjoyed playing bridge, gambling and winter vacationing in Arizona. Sylvia is survived by her children Robert Koehler of Golden, CO, Daniel (Deborah) Koehler of Green Bay and Judy (Paul) Voigts of Madison, grandchildren Jonathan, Nathan and Kaitlin Koehler, a sister Marcelline (Al) Buckmann of Colorado, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is further preceded in death by her parents and a sister Juene Wussow-Nowak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church with Monsignor Daniel Ganshert celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Vincent de Paul of Watertown, would be appreciated.
