Watertown/Madison - Sharon Rose Rothschadl, age 70, died on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Sharon was born on July 13, 1945 in Watertown, the daughter of Eugene and Marcella (Berg) Stangler. Sharon was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church for many years before moving to Madison. Sharon was a member of Christian Mothers and Catholic Financial services. She helped clean St. Henry's sacristy and was on the organ committee to help buy a new pipe organ in the late 1980's. She worked UW Hospital for many years as a cashier and was a Wisconsin Badgers fan. She enjoyed traveling, winning free stuff and especially enjoyed spending time attending concerts and events for her children and her grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her two children, Philip (Katie) and Andrew (Dawn) Rothschadl; 3 grandchildren, Trevor, Katelyn and Adam; 11 siblings, Suzy Dobke, Sam (Marlene) Stangler, Sylvia Stangler, Stanley (LaVonne) Stangler, Shawn (Kay) Stangler, Sherwin Stangler, Scott (Jean) Stangler, Sally (Mark) Othmer, Stuart Stangler, Sheldon (Marie) Stangler and Sterling Stangler. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Roger Dobke. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed in her memory to the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin, St. Henry Endowment Fund or Madison Diocese Apostolate to the Handicapped. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church, 300 E. Cady Street, Watertown WI on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11 AM. A visitation will take place at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home, 500 Welsh Road, Watertown on Thursday, August 27 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 8 PM and also at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will conclude at St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
