BALDWIN, ROBERTA J. WATERTOWN - Roberta J. Baldwin, age 78, passed away on Monday July 25, 2011 at Watertown Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11 AM at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown with Pastor Terry Larson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1:30 to 4:00 at the church and on Monday after 10 AM at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice, would be appreciated. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family. Online condolences may be left at watertownwifuneralhome.com. Roberta was born in Rockford, IL on September 10, 1932, the daughter of Desmore and Ruth (Larson) Farrow. She was a 1950 graduate of Rockford East High School and a 1954 graduate of DePauw University in Green Castle, Indiana. In 1954 she married Dr. Robert Baldwin and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2003. Roberta thought of herself first and foremost as a "Domestic Engineer." She enjoyed teaching at Gingerbread Nursery School for 5 years and had volunteered/tutored at Webster Elementary and Riverside Middle Schools for many years. Roberta was very active in Scouting, having been a den mother for the Cub Scouts for 10 years and a Merit Badge Counselor for BSA Potowatomi Council for 20 years. Roberta was past president and volunteer of the year of Watertown AAUW, past president of Immanuel Lutheran church in addition to the churches Endowment Fund. She was past president and volunteer of the year for the Watertown Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Roberta was past president of the Watertown Women's Center, Jefferson County Medical Auxiliary, State Medical Society of Wisconsin Alliance, where she served on several committees, and Wisconsin Health and Hospital Association. She was presently a volunteer at Watertown Area Health Services. Roberta was a member of the Euterpe Music Club, Eastern Star, Watertown Historical Society, Watertown Art's Council and Watertown Ladies Of Elk's. Her hobbies included antiques, needlepoint, quilting, knitting, reading and gardening. Roberta is survived by her sons Michael (Lynn) Baldwin of Sun Prairie, Steven Baldwin of Watertown and David (Sherry) Baldwin of Baraboo, grandsons Joshua and Jacob Baldwin, a step granddaughter Leslie (Nicholas) Anderson, other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents.
