Robert Lazers

MARSHALL - Robert Lazers, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Lighthouse of Sun Prairie. He was born on September 30, 1927 to Alvin and Elsie Lazers. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1945, and Madison Business College. He was married on October 8, 1949 to Beverly J. Martin and resided in Marshall where they raised four sons. Robert spent his entire life in the Marshall area where he served for many years as village clerk/treasurer, and worked as the business manager for Lazers Motors in Marshall. In 1967, he started Lazers Bus Service which is now operated by his son, Steve Lazers. He was most happy spending time with his family. He looked forward to annual fishing trips to Canada, and deer hunting in the Northwoods with family. Besides family activities, he particularly enjoyed traveling with his wife, Beverly, throughout Europe, and all of the United States and Canada. He was a humble man and a very loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his children Mike (Kate) of Del Rio, TX; Jerry (Maureen) of Marshall; Steve (Donnita) of Marshall and Tom (Kari) of Deerbrook; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sister, Mary Derr and brother, James Lazers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, parents Alvin and Elsie Lazers, and two sisters and a brother, Evelyn, Genevieve and Alvin, Jr. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 30, 2015. A visitation will be at 10 am and the funeral Mass will be at 11 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Marshall. There will be a private burial at a later date.
