Ricardo R. Sinense, M.D.

It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce to you the passing of Dr. Ricardo R. Sinense. On Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the age of 87, surrounded by our family and in the arms of the love of his life, he peacefully entered the gates of Heaven.

Ricardo was born on May 12, 1936, in the Philippines, the son of Melquiades and Maria (Rabang) Sinense. After graduating medical school at Far Eastern University in the Philippines, he went on to attend the University of Houston Texas and completed his residency in Urology. From there, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and began a medical practice that spanned over 50 years. He touched the lives of many people and for this, he will forever be remembered. Ricardo was involved in multiple charitable organizations, including, medical missions to the Philippines, volunteering his medical services to the free clinics in Milwaukee, and participating in many fundraising efforts to aid victims in the wake of natural disasters around the world.

Ricardo had many pastimes. He loved to travel, which included exotic destinations around the globe. He enjoyed sharing cultures and cuisines from around the world with his family. Ricardo also enjoyed being the skipper of his own motor yacht, and deep-sea fishing was one of the many highlights of his life. Ricardo was an accomplished pianist. He loved to play for hours on his concert grand piano, to the extent that if he saw a piano, wherever he was, he would sit down and play. He couldn't resist. Ricardo had highly refined artistic ability and would often sketch or paint pictures of his family on napkins, dinner receipts or any scratch paper around him.

Ricardo will be remembered for devoting his life to serve the community. However, it was evident to all who knew him that the center of his world was his beautiful wife, Carol. He was a humble, empathetic, loving, humorous and generous man. Ricardo will forever be remembered in countless ways by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Rest easy in the arms of the Lord.

Ricardo is survived by: his loving wife Carol; children Maria (Jason) Fila and Michael (Malina) Sinense; grandchildren Taylor (Erik), Andrew, Destini, Jordan, Nicholas, Gracie, Zoe, Isaiah, Harmony, and Joshua; great-grandchildren Silas, Ashton and Elliot. Ricardo is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ricardo is preceded in death by his parents, brother Saul (Puring) Sinense, and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery in Watertown with Rev. Ray Bezanson presiding.
