Peggy Martin

MARTIN, PEGGY M. OREGON Peggy M. Martin (nee Meyer) passed away on Friday June 17, 2011 at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center of ovarian cancer. She was born in 1935 in Watertown to George L. and Lyla (Plantz) Meyer. Peggy attended Madison schools, retired from employment with the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services and has resided in Oregon for over 40 years. Peggy enjoyed sewing, gardening, solving puzzles, eating out with friends and had a fondness for animals. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother Percy Meyer of Fitchburg, an uncle William Plantz of Deerfield, cousins Joan Homburg of Mississippi, Don Hale of Marshall, Judy Boetzel of Deerfield, George and Noel Halverson of Madison and Stoughton. Funeral services will be on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 11 AM at Hart-Vick Funeral Home 107 S. Beebe Street Marshall with Mark Hale officiating. Burial will be in Medina Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday after 10 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, HospiceCare or the charity of your choice.
