Patricia A. Geoghegan, age 74 of Watertown, went home unexpectedly to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Pat was born on April 14, 1941 in Manhattan, New York to Frank and Louise (Simko) Dolce. She graduated from Epiphany Elementary School in Manhattan in 1954. The family moved to Englewood, New Jersey and there Pat graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1958. Pat then graduated from the Englewood Hospital School of Nursing in September of 1962 and Jersey City State Collage in June of 1963. She was an registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in Health Education. Besides working at Englewood Hospital, Pat taught Health Education at Pompton Lakes High School in Pompton Lakes, NJ from September of 1963 through June of 1969. On June 25th 1966 Pat married Larry Geoghegan, a New York City fireman from THE Bronx. They moved to Watertown in 1979 and farmed; specializing in raising crops, beef and hogs. Pat is a former member of the Jefferson County Library Council, the St. Henry Parish Council and Liturgy Committee. She also served as a board member of the Friends of the Watertown Library. She was currently a member of the Wisconsin Brain Injury Council and the Post Polio Resource Group. Pat dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting and crafts. She had a deep faith in her Lord and she tried to treat everyone she knew with respect, great love and affection. Pat is surivied by her husband, Larry; her beloved children, Chris of Fort Atkinson, Susan (Richard) Achtziger of Albany and Amy Anspach of Wake Forest, NC and beloved grandchildren, Caitlin and Patrick Geoghegan, Anthony and Nikolas Achtziger and Ethan and Alessandra Anspach. She is further survived by a sister, Mary Jane (Fredrick) Nolfe of Oakland, NJ; nieces, Christina (Thomas) Supko and Jennifer (Marc) Singer and their children; sisters-in-law, Arlene and Helen Geoghegan; special aunt and uncle Albert and Eleanor Costantino and cousins, Greg and Stephanie of Las Vegas; special cousins, Donna Ostrowski, Christine Dalton and Dan Ostrowski and many special friends; especially Karen Linskens and Pat Wilke. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Jimmy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 24 at 11 am at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial to immediately follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and then again at church on Friday from 10 am until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Smile Train, Doctors Without Borders or to the Special Olympics.
