Meta Meske

MESKE, META WATERTOWN Meta Meske, age 98, passed away on Sunday May 20, 2012 at Marquardt Memorial Manor. Meta was born in Withee, WI on December 13, 1913, but lived most of her life in Watertown. She was married to Walter B. R. Meske who owned and operated an Electrical Contracting business. Meta worked as his bookkeeper and in later years worked in the cafeteria at Watertown Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and had been a volunteer at the Watertown Public library. Meta is survived by her daughter Arlene (Gordon) Neary of Chesterfield, Missouri her sister Margaret Smith of Pewaukee, grandchildren and great granschildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Walter, sons Robert, Donald and Delmer and daughters Dorothy Riebe and Ruth Johnson. A family graveside service has been held at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Terry Larson of Immanuel Ev.Lutheran Church officiating. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
