Maurine J. Ayers, 100, of Watertown passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Park Terrace in Watertown.

Maurine was born on December 8, 1919 in Herbert Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (Nelson) Jacob. She married Donald Malcolm who passed away in 1969, then later married Wayne Ayers who passed away in 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown for many years. Maurine and Donald owned Riverview Grocery in Watertown for many years. In her younger years she was a member of Saturday Club and a former Girl Scout Leader. She loved traveling and even had the opportunity to take her Girl Scouts to 6 different countries. In her free time she loved playing cards, but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Maurine is survived by her children Larry (Mary) Malcolm, Dale (Marily) Malcolm, Susan (Richard) Heil, and daughter in-law Bess Malcolm. 12 grandchildren: Stephen (Connie); Rebecca (John); Phil (Robin); Robert (Erin); Ron (Dawn); Cindy; Cristy (Chris); Janice; Rick (Jen); Becky (Kory); Mark (Kati); Matthew (Whitney); and Allison (Chase). 38 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and her sisters Marjorie Carlson and Alice Kaplan. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, parents, son Dean, great-grandson Jason, brothers Roger and Carl, and sisters Ethel and Ruth.

A private family memorial service for Maurine will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Todd Iverson presiding. Burial will take place at a later date.
