Marvin Wendt

WENDT, MARVIN A. MARSHALL Marvin A. Wendt, age 92, passed away on Thursday April 28, 2013 at his home. Marvin was born on August 3, 1920, in Marshall, the son of Gustav and Helen (Lewke) Wendt. On March 2, 1946 he married the former Charlotte Wetzel at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2010. Marvin and Charlottte farmed in the Marshall area all of their married life. He was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Marshall. Marvin is survived by his children Charlene (John) Stark, of Atlanta, Robert (Joan) Wendt and Allen (Catherine) Wendt, both of Marshall. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is further preceded in death by his parents,3 sisters Alice Martin, Esther Ellingson and Arvella Haupt and a brother Carl Wendt. Funeral services will be on Monday April 22, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Marshall with Pastor Mark Schoenick officiating. Burial will be in Medina Cemetery.
