Lillian Theobald

July 16, 1921 — February 8, 2017

Marshall- Lillian R. Theobald, 95, of Marshall, passed away on Wednesday, February 8th at Faith Living.  Lillian was born on July 16, 1921 in Barneveld, WI, the daughter of Louis and Mabel Kelly.  She raised a family of eight children.  Later, she worked for Marshall Public Schools as a cook.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.  She is survived by her children Richard (Marion) Theobald of Marshall, Julie (Daniel) Myers of Marshall, Nancy (Larry) Martin of Wild Rose, Dixie (Eugene) Haefner of Marshall, Janice Laufenberg of New Glarus, Connie (Manfred) Jeschke of Marshall, and Robert Jr. (Marcia) Theobald of Marshall; 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister Lilas Miller and brother Marvin Kelly. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Theobald; daughter Carol and son-in-law Alster Jelle; two grandsons, Joe Anderson and Mark Haefner; brothers Roy, Lester, Willard, Ellard, and Vernon Kelly; and a sister Evelyn Jabs. Lillian's celebration of life will be held at Marshall United Methodist Church, 318 William St., on Monday, February 13th at 11 A.M.  Burial will follow at Medina Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the Marshall United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 12th from 4-8 P.M. and again Monday from 9 until the time of service.  The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all the care they gave Lillian.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice. "Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day." Mom, we love you!
