YANKE, LEE F. WATERTOWN Lee F. Yanke, age 66, passed away on Saturday June 23, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Watertown following a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 12:00 PM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Pastor Terry Larson of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM at the funeral Home. Lee was born on June 2, 1946 in Watertown, the son of Ernest and Arlene (Fink) Yanke. Lee had been employed by Central Aviation in Watertown for over 30 years. Lee was a fighter and fought his cancer until his last breath when he was finally able to go "Home". He loved restoring cars from the 50's and 60's and attending car shows. Lee loved spending time with his daughter, future son in law Chris and his grandchildren. His smile, laughter and caring way will be missed by all. Survivors include a daughter Diana L. (Chris Bisone) George of Watertown, his former wife Angela N. (Bob) Schmidt, 3 step children Sue, John and Pinky, 3 grandchildren Suanne, Jerry and Kaleb Kaulback, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, he is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son Tommy Lee Yanke, in infancy. Lee also missed his little dog Brandy.
