Larry Andrews

Larry Gene Andrews, age 78, of Watertown, died peacefully at Marquart Health Care Center in the early hours of May 13, 2019 after being diagnosed with dementia about 8 years ago. He was born to Otto and Marie (nee Hillyer) Andrews on April 13, 1941 in Macomb, Illinois. Following graduation from Spalding High School in Peoria in 1959, Larry served 2 years in the U.S. Navy and 4 years in the Reserves. Larry married his high school sweetheart, Geralynn Pauli, in April of 1963 at St. Cecillia's Church in Peoria. They lived in Richmond, VA for 5 years, where he worked at Philip Morris and attended classes at the University of Virginia for 2 years. They later moved to Brookfield and then Watertown. Larry worked at Miller, Harnischfeger, Bishop Woods, Grace Cocoa before retiring in 2009 from North Western Mutual in Milwaukee after working 10 years as a systems analyst. Larry was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan since the age of 6, and also followed the Packers. He had a huge giraffe collection. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Geralynn, sons; Patrick Andrews of Fort Atkinson, Christopher Andrews of Wauwatosa, David (Jennifer) Andrews of Wauwatosa, Stephen (Shawn) Andrews of N. Ridgeville, Ohio, and son-in-law Fred Wilson of Virginia Beach, VA, 8 grandchildren; Ryan, Nick, Randy, Jessica, Ricki, Dylan, Molly, Alison, 8 great-grandchildren; Hailey, Mariel, Callie, Kael, Liam, Amelia, Olivia and Sawyer. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Richard and his daughter Lynn Wilson. There will be visitations held on Monday, May 20 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service and on Tuesday, May 21 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church up until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Patrick Wendler,officiating. Final resting place will be St. Henry Cemetery, Watertown, WI. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family.
