Watertown - Kathryn Elaine Hoffman, age 76, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Watertown, WI at Marquardt Village, under the warm and skillful care of the nurses and hospice team. Kathryn was born on August 9, 1940, in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of Myron and Gladys (Hagen) Ottum. Kathryn married Charles R. Hoffman on Sept. 8, 1962 in Walworth, WI. Kathryn worked in the nursing field for most of her life. After graduating from Lutheran Hospital in 1961, a three-year program, she later received her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from Alverno College. She was the first Parish Nurse at Immanuel Lutheran Church and found great fulfilment in providing this service to her church community. Kathryn worked at Marquardt for more than 30 years in the area of nursing practice. She held many positions throughout her tenure, including of Director of Nursing and Night Supervisior. She was a beloved member of the Marquardt community, and participated in choirs, social and service events long after she retired. She was loved and respected by all. Kathryn is survived by her husband Charles "Chuck" Hoffman of Watertown; two children, Pamela (Raymond) Muniz of Austin, TX and Matt Hoffman of Oconomowoc; one son-in-law, Ethan Roberts of Watertown, 5 grandchildren: Patrick Hoffman, Claire Hoffman, Xander Roberts, Logan Roberts and Kaylee Roberts; 6 siblings, Karen (John) Jaeger, David Ottum, Bill (Marilyn) Ottum, Christine (Larry) March, Sandra (Richard) Hirsch and Terry Ottum along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family would also like to acknowledge special friends Carol and Amy. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Tracey L. Roberts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Marquardt Village Hospice in Kathryn's memory. A celebration of life will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 204 N. 10th St. Watertown on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Todd Iverson will officiate.
