John K. Kopplin

John K. Kopplin, 62 of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at his home.

John was born on March 25, 1962, in Watertown, the son of Emil and Genevieve (Mand) Kopplin. He married the love of his life Wendy Klockow on May 14, 1983, in Johnson Creek, and the couple enjoyed 37 years of marriage before her passing in 2020. In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, playing poker and other card games with his friends, and doing puzzles. John liked being outside and spending time on the golf course. He was an avid sports fan, and loved to watch any Wisconsin team play. Above all else, John enjoyed spending time with his family, in-laws, and friends and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

John is survived by: his children Tyler (Elizabeth) Kopplin, Kayleigh Kopplin and Jordan Kopplin; his grandchildren Calvin and Nora; siblings Robert (Catherine) Kopplin, Charles (Cheryl) Kopplin, David (Deobra) Kopplin, James (Nancy) Kopplin, William Kopplin, Barbara (Richard) Krueger, and JoAnne Kopplin; and significant other Mary LaChapelle. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, wife Wendy, sister Kathleen Langer; and brothers-in-law Don Langer and Joe Zanotti.

A memorial service for John will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home in Watertown, with Fr. Tim Renz presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00pm until the time of service.
