John Ciciva, Sr.

CICIVA, SR. JOHN A. MARSHALL-John A. Ciciva, Sr., age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2013, at his home with his family. John was born on October 15, 1946 in Madison, the son of John H. and Jean (Hanson) Ciciva. He was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War; stationed in Okinawa from 1967-1971. John married Carolyn Hensen in Marshall on October 15, 1965. He worked at Goodyear Hose Factory in Sun Prairie for many years. John was an avid hunter and coin collector. He enjoyed his dogs, but especially enjoyed family get-togethers and being with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn of Marshall; son, John Jr. (Donna) Ciciva of Waterloo; daughter, Kelly M. Ciciva of Madison; granddaughters, Natalie J. and Lydia M. Ciciva of Waterloo and siblings, Duane Ciciva of Rio, Jeanne Ciciva of Lodi and Lonnie (Doug) Farnswith of Oregon, WI. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie Petterson and brother, Dana Ciciva. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshall at 3:00 pm with Pastor Paul Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Medina Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 1:00 pm until the 3:00 pm service at the church. Online condolences may be left at svfuneralhome.com.
