Jacqueline Jean Pfister

May 15, 1930 — May 23, 2024

Watertown

Jacqueline Jean Pfister, 94, passed away gently and peacefully on May 23, 2024 at Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 15, 1930 to John J. Clark and Evelyn M. Nagle Clark in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the 2nd of 5 children.

Jackie was an adept storyteller and the life of every party. She was known for her natural sense of humor and remained able to recite all the US states, capitals, and Presidents every night at bedtime along with her prayers. Her family was her greatest joy and is her ongoing legacy. Her last spoken words of wisdom were: “Thank you, thank you, thank you. Love you, love you, love you. Say yes more. Have Fun. Continue Thirsty Thursdays. Stay a family.” We will miss her deeply, but grateful for all our rich years with her.

Jackie grew up in Waukesha, married Ralph D. Pfister, and left her job at the bank to take on the multitasking career of homemaker and mother. They bought Pfister Pontiac Cadillac, Buick in Watertown from 1967-1972 and moved to Iowa, South Dakota and Florida. Jackie continued her banking career and ultimately reached her goal of Vice President of Sarasota Coastal Credit Union in Florida. After retirement, they returned to Watertown area.

Jackie volunteered at the Hospital and as Treasurer of the Elk’s Club Auxiliary.

She is survived by her amazing siblings, Shirley (Clark) Wolfgram, Rick (Martha) Clark and Marilyn (Clark) Kijewski and her grateful children, Jill (Tom) Paulsen, John (Colleen) Pfister, Diane (Bill) Whitley, Carla (Bill Williams) Walsh & daughter-in-law, Teresita Barias Pfister. Jackie is also survived by grandchildren, Amy (Rick) Medland, Kelly Paulsen, Kerry (Brad) Mesner, Adam (Stephanie Mouser) Paulsen, Kyle Pfister, Molly (Ben Biddle) Howard, Kate (Cameron) Zwieg, Brian Pfister, Wyatt (Stephanie Sass) Whitley, Brenna Whitley, Jason (Callie) Walsh, Emily (Andrew) Perkins, Meghan (Patrick Walter) Walsh, and Courtney (Jacob) May and Great Grandchildren; Presley Medland, Teagan Medland, Tanner Paulsen, Susie Edghill, Talyn Mesner, Gavyn Mesner, Andi Paulsen, Beckett Paulsen, Leona Biddle, Trey Howard, Clark Walsh & Sylvan Walsh and many nieces, nephews and friends, including George Clooney, Lester Holt and Brian Gotter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Paul Clark, her husband, Ralph, her son, David Pfister, son-in-law, Brian Walsh, brothers-in-law, Merwyn Pfister, John Kijewski and Howard Wolfgram along with infant grandchildren, Mary Colleen Pfister, Joseph John Pfister and infant great grandson, Kaleb Wayne Mesner.

We wish to thank Dr. James Meade and Dr. Salim Shammo for all the care and support they gave to our dear Mom over the years, and Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center staff for keeping her comfortable in her final days. A Memorial Mass for Jackie at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church will be announced at later date. Memorials in her honor may be sent to the Watertown Humane Society, Rainbow Hospice Care, or the charity of your choice.

  YOU

YOU now can hear all the sounds. See all the sights. Know all the love.

YOU now no longer ache from the pain. Hurt from the sorrows. Miss those who’ve gone.

Our lives will never be the same, but our joy in your freedom, and happiness in our memories will live long in our hearts.

YOU will always be with us in our minds and deep in our souls.
