WATERTOWN Jacqueline J. Niay, age 87, passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at UW Health Partners Watertown Medical Center. Jacqueline Jean Patey was born on May 8, 1927 in Honfleur, France, the daughter of Eugene and Augusta (Gallois) Patey. On March 7, 1947, she married Maurice Niay in Honefleur, France and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2009. Jackie had been a model and hotel receptionist in France, she and Maurice came to the United States and were both employed by the Quirk Family in Watertown, for many years. Jackie was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the church choir, Catholic Women's Club and Saturday Club. Survivors include her sons Jacques (Bonnie) Niay, Alan (Mary Jayne) Niay, Michael Niay and Bernard Niay, grandchildren Deanne Niay and Michelle (Brian) Munzel, Andrew and Aaron Niay, Bradley and Cordell Niay, great grandsons Evan and Austin Munzel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers. Family funeral services have been held with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
