Ione Kerr

Ione Helen Kerr, age 93 of Watertown, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She was born on February 3, 1921 in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Matilda (Krall) Kakac. A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 1 p.m. Inurnment was held at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha with her family. Ione married Harold Kerr on July 29, 1939. They were able to spend 33 years together before Harold's death in 1972. As a farmer's wife and homemaker; she was a dedicated and loyal laborer. Ione was also an employee at the post office and was a small business owner. She enjoyed playing cards and listening to the Brewers games on the radio. However, her true passion was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Helen Taylor of Jackson, MI, Harriet Anti of Winter Haven, FL and Charles Kerr of Watertown; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kerr, Daniel Kerr, Jonathon Taylor, Mitchel Taylor, Joseph Anti, Christopher Anti, Jenny Anti and Dennis Anti; great-grandchildren, Owen Taylor, Alec Taylor, Gaige Kerr, Bailey Kerr, Cannon Kerr, Aspen Anti and Logan Anti; a sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and siblings, Ivan Kakac, Irwin Kakac, Irene Pett, Irma Pfund and Illeene "Dolly" Schyler.
