Gloria Nelson

NELSON, GLORIA M. WATERTOWN Gloria M. Nelson, age 84, passed away on Sunday September 12, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Watertown. The former Gloria M. Polensky was born on April 5, 1926 in Watertown, the daughter of Edward and Alice (Gronert) Polensky. On August 21, 1948 she married William Nelson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown. Gloria was a member of First Congregational United Church Of Christ and the Watertown Senior and Community Center. Survivors include her husband William, their sons Steven (Kathy) Nelson of Downers Grove, IL, Brian (Mary Schooler) Nelson of Fresno, CA, Jeffrey Nelson of Madison and Mark (Amy) Nelson of Watertown, four grandchildren Michael, Courtney, Zachary and Elijah Nelson, two brothers Kenneth Polensky and Lyle (Sylvia) Polensky both of Watertown a sister Rita (Richard) Klawitter of Madison, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be on Monday September 20, 2010 at 11 AM at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor John Kennedy officiating. Family inurnment will be in Glenview Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:30 to 11 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to AseraCare Hospice or the church would be appreciated. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service, is serving the family.
