George Stuehler

George Otto Stuehler, 78 years old, of Watertown, WI, passed away on March 7, 2013 due to a stroke. The funeral service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene at 242 Williams St Johnson Creek, WI 53038. Father David Wanish will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:30 am to 10:45 on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalene. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am. Luncheon will follow the service in the church basement served by the Daughters of Mary. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Rainbow Hospice, Jefferson, WI. George was born in Hampshire, IL on May 9, 1934 and attended school in Hampshire, IL. George married Patricia Fruin on October 11, 1954 in St. Kilians Catholic Church in Blenker, WI; they were married 58 years. He worked in heavy construction, tree trimming and removal and farmed for many years. He enjoyed working in his wood shop and cutting logs on the saw mill, building tree houses and was a general fix it man. He was also actively involved as a Town of Watertown Supervisor for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his retirement. Watching the eagles and ospreys on Hayward area lakes gave him great pleasure. Time spent with the extended family at gatherings was especially cherished. George is survived by his wife Patricia, children; Diane & (Mike) Reindl, Bonnie & (Mark) Ritacca, Ann & (Steve) Hecht, Theresa Buske and Allan & (Lynette) Stuehler as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who all live in the area.
