Watertown - Gail Frances Schiefelbein, age 71, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her home. She was born on March 9, 1940 in DesPlaines, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Margaret (Parsill) Klein. Gail married Richard Schiefelbein on February 4, 1961 and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. She was a teacher for District 300 in Dundee, IL for over 22 years. Gail was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Watertown Lions and the Ladies Golf League at Windwood Golf Course. She also volunteered her time at Avalon. Gail is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" of Watertown; daughter, Debra (Joe) Ruddell of Watertown; son, Eric (Ann) Schiefelbein of Johnston, IA; grandchildren, Quinn and Chase Ruddell and Olivia and Elizabeth Schiefelbein; brother, Bruce (Carol) Klein of Hanover Park, IL; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Barbara) Schiefelbein of Lake St. Louis, MO and Rev. Dr. Raymond (Diane) Schiefelbein of Blue Springs, MO; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters-in-law, Rona Schiefelbein and Margo Remmie. A memorial service will be held at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH IN CHRIST, 120 Kuckkan Lane, Watertown on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 11:30 am with Pastor John Kennedy officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 10:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be held in the church Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational UCC Church, Rainbow Hospice or to the Watertown Humane Society in Gail's name.
