Francis J. "Frank" Semon, age 92 of Watertown, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Marquardt Village. He was born on June 1, 1922 in Watertown, the son of Frank and Catherine (Brigowatz) Semon. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the 164th RCT, American Division in Solomon and Philippine Islands; discharged in January of 1946. He worked as an inspector at Crepaco in Lake Mills for over 32 years, retiring in 1984. Frank was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Watertown Elk #666, American Legion Post #189, VFW Post #7852, Watertown County Club, Watertown Historical Society and the Watertown Arts Council. He married Joyce Hardiman on October 17, 1953 and they were able to spend 33 years together until her death on January 2, 1986. He is survived by his sister, Blanche Pooch; sister-in-law, Mildred Semon; brother-in-law, Robert Thompson; niece, Mary; nephew, Bob; special friend, Vicki Redfern; other numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brother, Willard and sisters, Kathryn Schroeder, Rosella Marhofke and Lorraine Wohlfeil. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to St. Bernard's Church. The family would like to thank Marquardt Hospice for their compassionate care and concern during Frank's final days.
