Florence Dunn

DUNN, FLORENCE S. WATERTOWN Florence S. Dunn, age 97, passed away on Sunday February 13, 2011 at Marquardt Memorial Manor. Florence was born on September 19, 1913 in Lisbon, WI, the daughter of John and Lydia Schafer. She married Paul A. Dunn on April 10, 1943 and they were happily married for 67 years. Survivors include her husband Paul, three sons Gordon (Jeannine) of Altoona, IA; Ken of Los Angeles, CA and Dan (Kathy) of Bella Vista, AR; two grandchildren Jeremy of Portland, OR and Amanda of Fayetteville, AR. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters. Florence graduated from Milwaukee Business College. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. In her early years Florence loved gardening, flowers and music. She also loved oil painting, quilting and keeping in touch with her lifelong friends around the country through letters and cards. Florence was known to family and friends as the Dessert Queen. She will be forever in our hearts and remembered with each setting sun. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday February 17, 2011 at Marquardt Manor Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to time of the service. Pastor Ron Kral from Christ United Methodist Church will conduct the service.
