Elizabeth Schumann

SWatertown - Elizabeth M. "Betsy" Schumann, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Rainbow Hospice Center in Johnson Creek. She was born on September 11, 1939, the daughter of Myron and Martha (Ormerod) Moore. Betsy married David Schumann on September 4, 1970 in Madison. She loved children and her happiest days were teaching 7th and 8th grades at Lebanon Lutheran School. Betsy was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge. She was also a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David; daughter, Martha (Tom) Cooper; two sons, Derek (Michele) Schumann and John (Karen) Romadka; grandchildren, Elias Schumann, Simon Schumann, Jocelyn Romadka and Francis Adele Cooper; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 615 Jones St., Watertown on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. James Werner officiating. A visitation will be at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's School Debt Fund or the charity of your choice.
