Edwin Rees

Watertown - Edwin "Ed" Rees, age 79, died on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 11, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the son of Damond and Elsie (Dobslaf) Rees. Ed worked for GE Medical for many years. His true passion was woodworking. Ed donated many of his work to different charity organizations for fundraising purposes like Toys for Tots and St. Henry Catholic Church. He was also an avid bowler. Ed is survived by his sisters, Dorothy, Barbara, Charlotte and Lillian all of Chicago, IL; special friends, Rich Wilke and Bob and Gail Hall all of Watertown; special niece, Pat (George) of Montello; numerous other nieces and nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm at SCHMUTZLER-VICK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Military Honors will be held at the funeral home at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to cover the funeral expenses.
