Edna Ida Parker (Horn) Watertown - Edna Ida Horn was born on February 26, 1914 in Marshall, Wisconsin. She was one of nine children born to Leonard and Mary (Drews) Horn. She married the love of her life, Elmer Parker Sr. in 1932, shortly after catching his eye at the local roller rink. Edna had a strong work ethic her entire life, starting at an early age when she stripped tobacco in the fields at home right along with her brothers and sisters. Later in life, after her children left home she was employed at the sewing factory in Watertown. Of all the jobs she held throughout her 102 years; none was more special to her than that of mother and grandmother. She was a strong woman of faith and was a devout member of St. Bernard's parish for over 75 years. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's Club, Women's Auxiliary and volunteered for many years at St. Vincent De Paul. In retirement she enjoyed spending time gardening, baking her famous fudge, traveling, playing a mean game of cards and could be found every Sunday afternoon cheering on the Green Bay Packers. First and foremost; Edna loved being surrounded by family every chance she could get.....she especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Elmer Parker Sr., Three sons; Elmer Parker, Jr. (Arlene-deceased), Clark Parker, George Parker, One daughter Marion Mathison (Tom), three grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren plus all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Marie Granger (Cecil-deceased) of Mesquite, Nevada, son James Parker (Linda) of Newburgh, Indiana, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
