Earl F. Carter, age 91, passed away on Saturday February 7, 2015 at UW Health Partners, Watertown Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Father Scott Jablonski celebrating. Innichment will be in the parish cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Earl Francis Carter was born on July 15, 1923 in Town of Rockland, DePere, WI, the son of Earl and Ethel (Van Dreel) Carter. He served in the Marine Corp in the Pacific Theater during WWII. On June 14, 1947 he married the former Rita J. Smits in DePere, Wisconsin and she preceded him in death on June 15, 2009. Earl had been employed by the Milwaukee Journal Company, in the printing department. Earl was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and a former member of the Dousman Derby Dancer, where he and Rita spent many memorable hours, square dancing. Earl is survived by his children Glenn Carter, Tom Carter, James (Jaclyn) Carter, Margaret (Craig) Mullen and Paul (Angelique) Carter, a son in law Neil Mooers, seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He is further preceded in death by a daughter Eileen Mooers, his parents and a sister Delores Jones.
