Dorothy Marks

MARKS, DOROTHY M. WATERLOO   Dorothy M. Marks, age 92, passed away on Saturday October 1, 2016, at Highland House in Waterloo. Dorothy M. Klinger, was born on January 28, 1924 in Watertown, the daughter of Anton and Magdalena (Kreuziger) Klinger. On July 24, 1948, she married Lyle Marks in Watertown, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1978. Dorothy had been born, raised and married in Watertown and moved to Ottawa, Illinois. She lived in Ottawa for many years and had been active in the community, she returned to Watertown in 2012, to be closer to her family. Dorothy was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and formerly St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottawa, IL. Dorothy was the last member of her immediate family, she is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is further preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Stella Stangl and Mercedes Friburger and five brothers Clarence, Harvey, Claude, Wesley and Celestine "Bud" Klinger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Patrick Wendler celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Dorothy's family wishes to thank the staff at Highland House and Rainbow Hospice for their special care and love, during the past four years.
