Dorothy M. Dantuma

Dorothy M. Dantuma, 90, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at her home.

Dorothy was born on February 25, 1933, in Watertown, the daughter of William and Margaret (Vick) Roos. She married the love of her life Raymond Dantuma on May 9, 1953 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown, and the couple enjoyed 62 years of marriage before his passing in 2015. Dorothy was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where she was active with the ladies’ aid. She donated blood for many years with the American Red Cross, donating over 30 gallons of blood. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Patricia Blasing, Kenneth (Sheri) Dantuma, Ronald Dantuma, and David Dantuma. 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Anita Radloff, Loraine O’Brien, Alice Fiel, Evelyn Patnode and her brother Palmer Roos.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 21, 2023 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Peter Wells Presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
