COOGAN, DOROTHY K. WATERTOWN Dorothy K. Coogan passed away on Monday May 30, 2016 at Zinzendorf Hall in Watertown following 107 years of being a loving, caring and grace filled ladyShe was born in Watertown on March 10, 1909 to Joseph and Rose (Zoelle) Molzahn, the youngest of six children. She lived on a farm on the West Road and went to school at St. Henry's Catholic School and Watertown High School, where she acquired secretarial skills. She then went to work for the former Skinner & Thauer Law Firm.She married Christopher Coogan on May 18, 1943. They moved to Superior and Fort Atkinson for a few years, but were happy to return to Watertown where they opened the Coogan Insurance Agency.Throughout her life, Dorothy belonged to both St. Bernard's and St. Henry's. She was active in several church organizations. Her faith, her family and her friends were paramount in her life. Her favorite leisure activity was playing cards, especially bridge and she enjoyed any opportunity to laugh. Dorothy is survived by her son Charles Coogan; nieces Eileen Reeder, Rosemary Fischer, Geraldine Cibulka, Phyllis Peterson, Mary Coogan and Zola Coogan; nephews Patrick McGinty, Walter Molzahn, Mike Coogan and Timothy Coogan; many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and a few great-great-great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Father Patrick Wendler celebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service and on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christopher and Dorothy Coogan Scholarship Fund.
