Doris V. Wilke (nee Robbins), age 85, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019. She was born on Nov. 7, 1933, in the town of York (Dane County), the daughter of Alfred Sr. and Linda Porter Robbins. Doris was a 1951 graduate of Watertown High School and a graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College, class of 1970, with high honors. She also attended Marquette University and the University Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In December of 1991, she received her certificate as a child care teacher from Madison Area Technical College. She was employed by Co-Mo Photo Co. in Watertown for nine years. She was active in the Democratic Party of Jefferson County serving as their secretary/treasurer. Doris also ran for clerk of circuit court in 1960. In 1961, Doris moved to the Milwaukee area. There she was employed by Unicare Corp. of Milwaukee as a nurse for 13 years (now known as Heartside-Plymouth Manor). She was also employed by the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex as a nurse, and in 1985, she returned to the Waterloo area. There she was employed by the state of Wisconsin as a nurse at Central Wisconsin Center in Madison. At the time of her death, she was retired. Doris was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Newville where she was a dedicated member of the ladies aid. She volunteered for the Milwaukee Health Department, was a Girl Scout leader, PTA member, room mother and a volunteer worker in the health room and library of the Milwaukee-Grafton Public Schools. Doris was also a former member of U.A.R.T. Doris is survived by her children Richard Schultz (Lori) of Watertown, Marjorie Brown-Reimers (Russ Reimers) of Littleton, Colorado, and attorney Harry G. Brown III (Margaret) of Milwaukee; four stepsons Jeff, James, John and Jody Wilke; her grandchildren Anna (Matt) and Cady (Ben) Wolf, Brandon and Jessica Reimers and Katherine and Matthew Brown; and her great-grandchildren Brayden Schultz and Kyle and Jacob Wolf. She is further survived by her sister Juanita Ehrke of Deerfield. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Donald; parents; brothers Alfred Jr. and Lester; sister Ferne M.
