Donald Schurch, Sr.

Donald F. Schurch Sr., age 90, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018, surround by his family, in his current home of Waterloo, Wisconsin, formerly of Elyria, Ohio. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Vercillino) (deceased). Devoted father of Gregory C. (Martha), Carolyn S. Whittaker (Jason), Donald F., Jr. (Alicia), David E. (Ann). Proud and loving grandfather of 11. Born to Charles and Martha (nee Weigt) Schurch. Brother of Eileen "Betty" Hardt, Richard "Dick" (deceased), Delores Jewell, Gerald "Jerry", Geraldine Martin (deceased), Mary Ann Christensen, Barbara Dulecki. After serving in the Air Force, he had a lengthy career, which he loved, as an Air Traffic Controller - Supervisor at the FAA Oberlin Center. He had a love of flying, sailing, motorcycles, crossword puzzles, and most important to him was his time with his family and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 10, 2018 at noon following an 11:00a.m. visitation at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio; followed by internment at St. Mary's Cemetery, 7284 Lake Avenue in Elyria, Ohio.
