David H. Riedemann, 81, formerly of Watertown, died on Thursday, Aug. 3, at Golden Years Senior Living Center, Randolph.
David was born on Aug. 25, 1941, in Watertown, the son of Herbert W. and Ruth C. (Kaercher) Riedemann.
He served many years in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sp5. He also worked for many years as a machine operator at Grosenick & Christian, Inc., of Lebanon.
David had a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and also an Associate degree from Madison Area Technical College.
David was a lifelong member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He was also a member of Pitterle-Beaudoin Post No. 189, American Legion, and was a past member of the post’s firing squad. He also enjoyed and owned Mustang autos.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister and brother-in-law, Dr. Diane Gordon and Dr. Martin Gordon. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery of Watertown with the Rev. Peter Wells of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church officiating. A gravesite military service will follow the funeral.
