SONNENBERG, DANIEL R. MARSHALL Daniel R. "Dan" Sonnenberg, age 60, died on Thursday October 25, 2012. He was born on April 21, 1952 in Beaver Dam, the son of Byron and Adeline (Sobrilsky) Sonnenberg. Dan proudly served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam war and he was a member of the VFW. He was an ASA umpire for 41 years, an ASA Deputy umpire in charge and was a WIAA wrestling official for 30 years. Dan was a board member for Special Olympics and served as a volunteer for 29 years. He also volunteered at St. Judes Hospital for 14 years. Dan worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. He was an avid Packer, Brewers and Badgers fan. Dan enjoyed playing cards, attending family functions and spoiling all his nieces and nephews. His famous chocolate chip cookies will be missed by all. Dan is survived by his three sisters Diane (Vernon) Holler, Jean Sonnenberg and Barbara (Doc) Jacob; six brothers Gary (Ramona), Jerry (Chris), Dean (Cathy), Steve (Mary), David (Wendi) and Mike (Cheryl) Sonnenberg, 21 nieces and nephews, 47 great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and two nieces, Tina and Sara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at MARSHALL CAMPUS OF THE HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 120 S. Beebe Street Marshall, on Tuesday October30, 2012 at 11 AM with Monsignor James Gunn officiating. Family and friends may call on Monday October 29, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM at HART - VICK FUNERAL HOME, 107 S. Beebe Street in Marshall and on Tuesday after 10 AM at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Dan requested everyone wear their Packer attire to his funeral .
