DAHL, HERMAN W. OMRO, WI Herman W. Dahl age 84, passed away on Friday February 19, 2010 at Omro Care Center. Herman was born on February 2, 1926 in Columbus, WI the son of Herman F. and Ruby (Griffin) Dahl. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a medic in the Pacific Theater. He had married Agnes Pedretti in California and on August 24. 1995 he married Frances (Holt) Matz in Ixonia, WI. Herman had been a locomotive engineer for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He was a member of the Union Grove American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife Frances of Omro, his children Mary Sinco of Houston, TX, Joseph Dahl of Missisippi, Edward Dahl of San Antonio, TX, Patrick Dahl of Kansasville, WI, Ann McAtee of Henderson, KS, Theresa Moore of Greenfield, TX and Carol Burke of Racine, WI, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers Red Dahl and Hughie Dahl both of Delevan, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son Herman Dahl, his parents, a brother Kenneth Dahl and a sister Carol. Family funeral services have been held. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home of Watertown is serving the family.
