DELZER, CURTIS M. WATERTOWN Curtis M. Delzer, age 52, passed away, following a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday November 6, 2010, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Pastor Dr. Kevin Tarvid officiating. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Online condolences may be left at watertownwifuneralhome.com. Curtis was born on February 12, 1958 and raised in Oconto Falls, the son of Bill and Martha (Reinert) Delzer. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Curtis graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1976, the centennial year. He had earned a certificate of apprenticeship as a machinist on December 6, 1980. On September 30, 2001 he married the former Gail Albertin in Waukesha. Curtis had been employed by Fischer-Barton Specialty Products. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oconto Falls. Curtis was a master woodworker and loved the outdoors, he was an avid flower gardener, hunter, fisherman, bird watcher, deer hunter and he loved trains. Survivors include his wife Gail, his mother Martha Delzer of Oconto Falls, his children Adam (Michelle) Delzer and Melissa Delzer, both of Waukesha, his step daughters Sondra (Joey) Reyes and Joanna (Mario) Saucedo, both of Milwaukee, a sister Polly (Ken) Exferd of Oconto, two brothers Kevin (Patsy) Delzer of Abrams, and Tom (Kelly) Delzer of Pulaski. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. His warm smile and contagious laughter, will be greatly missed by all.
