Carl P. Bjerkness

Carl P. Bjerkness Jr., 89, of Pewaukee, formerly of Watertown, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Kirkland Crossings in Pewaukee.

Carl was born on May 22, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the son of Carl and Eleanor (Krempel) Bjerknees. He married the love of his life Ruth Selldin on February 12, 1955, in Chicago, and the couple enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Carl worked for Peoples Gas and Coke for many years, retiring in 1990. After retirement, he continued to do work as a security guard for GE for ten years. Carl often volunteered his time to the service of others, including at the Watertown Senior Center and Marqaurdt.  In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and watching sports - especially the Chicago Bears and Cubs. Above all, Carl treasured time spent with his family and friends.  

Carl is survived by his daughter Barbara (Gary) Radtke, granddaughter Carol (Kyle) Efferding, and great-grandchildren: Katie Efferding, Kaeden Efferding, and Kingston Efferding. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
