Bruce W. Bruschnig, 69 of Richwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital of Madison.
Bruce was born on April 25, 1955, in Oconomowoc, the son of William and Barbara (Niemann) Bruschnig. He attended and graduated from Oconomowoc High School. Following graduation, Bruce enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his county. Throughout his life, he worked various jobs as a press operator, finishing his career at MetalTek. In his free time, Bruce enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was going camping, hunting or fishing. Above all else, Bruce loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was a dedicated and caring man who took every opportunity to show up to any and all family events that he could. Although he was set in his ways, Bruce was always available to offer a helping hand and make time for others. He will be deeply missed by his family and those he leaves behind.
Bruce is survived by: his children Brad (Alyssa) Bruschnig, Amber (Chris) Kruesel, and April Bruschnig; grandchildren Marissa, Ryder, Griffin, Violet, William, Brittney, Jaydin, Kaycia, MyKell, and Raynah; and siblings Amy Green and Terri (Steve) Enters. Bruce is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings John Bruschnig and Laurie Bruschnig.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home of Watertown. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Military honors will follow the service.
