Brigitte K. Mederios-Lopez

Brigitte K. Mederios-Lopez, 80 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center of Johnson Creek.

Brigitte was born September 29, 1943, in Lauenstein, Germany, the daughter of Friedrich “Fritz” and Luise (Etter) Schnook. Brigitte came to the United States in 1950 and settled in Waukesha. She later moved to California in 1962 and returned to Wisconsin in 2005. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting and reading books. Danielle Steele and James Patterson were her two favorite authors.

Brigitte is survived by: her daughter Erika (Todd) Olson; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Elsa Lax. Brigitte is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Brigitte is preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sons David Mederios and Ernst Mederios; grandson Eddie Possing; and brothers Ernst Schnook and Peter Etter.

Per Brigitte’s wishes, a private family gathering will take place at a later time.
