Bernice Soldner

SOLDNER,  BERNICE  M. WATERTOWN     Bernice M. Soldner, age 88, passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2016 at Highland House in Watertown. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church with Pastor James Backus officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.  Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10 AM to 11 AM at the church. Memorials to St. Mark's Ev. Bernice Mae Riedeman was born on February 6, 1928 in Rosendale, WI, the daughter of Rudolph Herman and Emma Anna Amelia (Raether) Riedeman. She attended St. John's Lutheran School in Waterloo and graduated from Waterloo High School in 1945. Bernice attended Beauty School in Madison and worked as a beautician at National Beauty Salon in Watertown, for many years. On February 10, 1952 she married Oren Soldner at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2011. She was a member of St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church in Watertown. Bernice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and traveling in the US and Europe, with her sisters. Bernice is survived by a brother in law Calvin (Marion) Soldner a sister in law Eunice (Ralph) Whiting, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is further preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Marcella Riesop and Betty Miller and a brother Marvin Riedeman.
