Bernice Bolson

Watertown - Bernice Caroline Bolson, age 85, died peacefully on October 30, 2015 while in the arms of her loving husband at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Johnson Creek. Bernice was born on February 21, 1930 in Concord, WI, the daughter of Foster and Frieda (Grimm) Scheels. She later married her husband of over 66 years, Robert T. Bolson on January 5, 1949 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sullivan. Bernice was a member of Christ the Lord Lutheran of Clearwater, FL and St. Matthew's Lutheran in Oconomowoc. Bernice enjoyed sewing and cooking. Bernice also enjoyed watching her children play baseball and spending time with all of her family. She had many fond memories of riding motorcycles with her husband and her sons and traveling with Bob in their RV during their retirement years. Bernice is survived by her husband, Bob; 2 sons, James (Jean) Bolson and Scott (Lynn) Bolson; 5 grandchildren, Andrea (John) Bolson Wagner, Greg (Angie) Bolson, Michael (Jeanne) Bolson, Christopher (Jen) Bolson and Robert (Larissa) Bolson and 8 great grandchildren, Marek, Finnley, Ailey, Grant, Lydia, James, Caden and Maddox. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marge. Memorial services will take place at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 818 W. Wisconsin Ave., Oconomowoc WI on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM. A visitation will also take place at the church on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials can be directed to Rainbow Hospice Care Center of Johnson Creek in Bernice's memory.
