Barbara Groehler

Barbara A. Groehler age 60, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek. She was born on March 18, 1958 in Platteville to Donald and Alice (Boom) Delain. Barbara was a 1976 graduate of Menomonee Falls-East High School. She earned her bachelor degree in Home Economics from UW-Stevens Point in 1980. Barbara was married to Matthew Groehler on August 24, 1985 in Oconomowoc. She was employed at Leather-Rich Inc., Oconomowoc for 27 years. Barbara was a strong and brave wife, mom, grandma and sister who always had the backs of her family and friends. She loved nature, bird watching, gardening, dogs, cooking and baking. She was an awesome seamstress, Scrabble player and was an avid Packer fan. Her greatest joy for the past five years was watching her grandson Owen, whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her husband Matthew of Watertown; her daughter Sarah (Ben) Pirkel of Watertown; grandson Owen Pirkel; four brothers Steve (Trudi) Delain of Madison, Dave (Rosie) Delain and Dan (Kathy) Delain both of Germantown and Jim Delain of New Berlin; nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law Arnold Groehler Jr. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 500 Welsh Road, Watertown.
