Arlene Peirick

Arlene "Babe" Peirick, age 87, of Watertown, died on Thursday, September 13, 2018, Watertown Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Patrick Wendler officiating. Family burial will be held at a later date at St. Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. The Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family. Arlene was born on June 28, 1931, in the town of Aztalan, daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Schimmel) Ambrose. She attended St. Lawarence Grade School and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1949. She married William (Bill) Peirick on September 14, 1957, at St. Lawrence Church in Jefferson. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2008. Arlene worked at the Jefferson County Abstract Office and as a legal secretary in Watertown. Arlene later worked as a library aide at Watertown Senior High School and them Douglas, Schurz, and Lebanon schools from 1974 until her retirement in 1997. Arlene enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, and playing cards.. She also loved watching TV, especially game shows. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Patchett of Watertown and Susan (Kevin) Fuhrman of Bloomington, IL; one granddaughter, Kelly Munguia of Corpus Christi, TX , one sister, Virginia "Lovey" Burnett of Jefferson, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Heron and Eleanor Ambrose, sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine "Dolly" and Norbert Riedl, brother-in-law, Joe Burnett and son-in-law, Wayne Patchet.
