Ardis Blaszak

Ardis A. Blaszak, age 84, passed away at Marquardt Health Center on Thursday, February 22. Ardis was born to Herbert and Mildred Holz on January 26, 1934 in Hustisford. She graduated from Hustisford High School in 1951. Upon graduation and until 1959, she worked at Gillich's Store in Hustisford. On October 5, 1957, she married Carl Thomas Blaszak at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford. They moved to Watertown in 1973 when Ardis began working at Bethesda Lutheran Home until she retired in 1992. Ardis was a member of Good Shepard Lutheran Church and the Watertown Senior Center, where she enjoyed many hours playing Bingo. She enjoyed her family and will be missed by her three children; Craig and Troy Blaszak and Lisa Blaszak. Ardis was also blessed with two grandsons; Brandon (Pam) Blaszak and Derek (Ashley) Blaszak and three great-grandchildren; Rowan, Arlowe and Lucas Blaszak. She will also be missed my many other relatives and friends. Ardis and her family would like to acknowledge and thank her special friends Bill and Sharon Ellis who did all the outside work and many other projects at her home, which allowed Ardis to stay in her home longer than would have been possible. They also want to thank George and Marie Kunert who were available whenever she needed them. Marie was also her Bingo partner. The many phone calls from her dear friend from high school, Marcie Schmidt, gave Ardis many enjoyable hours of laughs and reminiscing. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 500 Welsh Road in Watertown, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend David Groth officiating. Ardis is preceded in death by her husband, Carl and her parents, Herbert and Mildred Holz; brother; Irvin Holz, two sisters; Arita Lentz and Maryetta (Mutz) Ninnman and brother-in-law; Douglas Lentz.
